New comers who arrive in Bremen are directed silently to a structure in the center of the city. The structure is of simple design, merely consisting of elk skin sown into a large tent. Inside, there are rows of tables and benches where barbarians are taking their fill of mead. At the back, opposite the door, is a larger table. Behind it sits King Wolfgang on a simple wooden throne. He has short blond hair, a beard, and sharp blue eyes; his shoulders are adorned with a cape of brown fur and a large flamberg rests at his side.

An envoy from Roth Gar by name of Quintus Tullius Casca and his 4 guards arrive at the boarders of the Saxon lands. He requests to be granted passage to Bremen and to meet with a representative of the Saxon government there.

The envoy is silently escorted to Bremen, where they are led to the Mead Hall. He is taken before Wolfgang, who sits behind the only rectangular table in the hall upon a simple throne. Alongside him, a younger version of him, surely his son Hank, can be seen. Unlike his father, he wears a silver fur cape and wields a light, long sword, somewhat out of place among the others, who wield larger, heavier weapons. Two others sit at the table. One, shorter than the rest, has brown eyes. The other looks like a typical barbarian. Hank sits on Wolfgang's right and the shorter man on Wolfgang's left, denoting the shorter man as Otto, Wolfgang's chief advisor.

Otto is the first to speak, in fluent Latin. "What brings the Romans so far north into the savage lands of Saxony?"

Casca makes a respectful gesture and speaks, "I thank you for bringing me into your hall. I am here on behalf of Roth Gar so that our nations may be in contact and in full knowledge that we mean each other no harm and wish for a bright future. My coming here is the first gesture of goodwill, and I hope that our nations may have a cordial relationship in the times to come."

Otto and Wolfgang hold a brief conversation in the native language of the Saxons, and then Otto responds, "And yet, the Roman war machine already expands north. Your words are lost on the ears of Saxons. If you wish to express your goodwill to Saxony, then perhaps actions will serve your purpose better. Turn your gaze south, east, and west, but should your soldiers cross the Alps and we will care not of your words."

"Know that we mean you no threat, and all our expansion at this time is to unite Italy; however, if this is the attitude of Saxony then Roth Gar will speak through actions, and we shall see how our relations develop in the future."

A large procession of men can be seen approaching the city limits. The banner of Dacia can be seen clearly in the distance. The 70 odd men halt outside of the city limits, awaiting permission to enter.

Otto unfurls a map of Europe upon the table, and taking a piece of charcoal, traces some lines along it.

"Roth Gar will not cross north of the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Sava River, or the Carpathians. Saxony, in turn, will not cross south of these."

All but 10 of the armed warriors wait outside, while the rest walk into the mead hall. The man wearing the hat walks forward as the armed men give their weapons to the guards and waits for the King to finish with the Roman envoy.

"It matters not whether you agree to these borders," Otto puts in. "Just know this: so long as you stay within the borders we have described, you will have no need to fear Saxon raids; however, the moment you cross these borders, Saxony will declare war immediately. Consider this when making your battle plans. Can Rome afford a full scale barbarian invasion in its present state? Stay south of these landmarks and we still stay north. Cross them and we will invade."

"I find this map highly disturbing. Why are our worthy allies in Massilia to be within lands claimed by Saxony? For that matter, where are all other nations? You cannot think that the entire world is only Roth Gar and Saxony. Dacia is in your hall even now, and their land is divided on this map..."

[OOC: I know Dacia is here because Gold brought a banner]

"None of this land is ours to divide in the first place. We simply make a statement. Roth Gar shall not claim any land north of the line and Saxony shall not claim any land south of it. What Roth Gar does south of the line is of little interest to Saxony, and what Saxony does north of the line should be of little interest to Roth Gar. So long as Roth Gar leaves the Gauls and the Germans alone, Saxony is satisfied and will not raid Roman towns, nor claim land in regions that we believe Rome to have an eye for."
